Balys Sruoga, as many other poets were inspired by nature, even joined the Institute of Forests and one of his most important works, ‘Forest of the Gods’, was written in Birštonas sanatorium. Unique and wide panoramic views over the river Nemunas and green Aleksotas hills are hidden under the curtains in the Poet Apartment Nō7.

As the spirit moves you, you are encouraged to make entries into ‘ONE POEM BOOK’ contained in the library of this apartment. We created these limited edition books where, between many empty pages left for your creativity, you will find just one poem written by Lithuanian poets. One poem book will be the perfect night read while laying on a medium soft mattress by Lonas
